Mr. Gould gives a good long look at just eleven particular anomalous events, and, though he doesn't explain them, he does a brilliant job of consolidating all the available information at the time (1927) on each of his chosen topics. Considering that many of these events have not been critically studied since that time, the information in this book remains an excellent starting point for investigators. Reading-wise it gets a little dry sometimes, but overall it's a fun book.
