Starting in 1837, reports of a strange leaping character dubbed by newspapers as "Spring-Heeled Jack" started to appear in the United Kingdom. Sometimes described as a devil, a maniac, or an alien, the true identity of this strange character continues to be debated by many historians and anomalists... and strange reports from all over the country and spanning some seventy years have been blamed on this bizarre criminal.
