1816: Snowfall Predicted Accidentally

The Legend:

In 1816, snow fell three times in the month of July in New England, USA. As if that were not remarkable enough, the snowfall had actually been predicted in that year's edition of the Old Farmer's Almanac... the prediction had been inserted as a printer's prank!

Unreliable

I have only one source for this story at the moment -- Ripley's Strange Coincidences -- so it's marked as both 'needs investigation' and 'unreliable' until I can dig into it.
