Magazine, est. 1948 by Clark Publishing Company, now published by Llewellyn Worldwide,Ltd.
FATE Magazine is one of the first periodicals published in the United States about paranormal and supernatural events and people, and is commonly the primary reference source for many a later author of books on the weird. Many anomaly stories that are now considered common knowledge -- and often used as the basis for astoundingly complex theories about paranormal events -- were first published for popular reading in this simple magazine; and since Clark Publishing also produced a number of science fiction magazines at the same time, FATE carried a tremendous amount of ground-breaking UFO stories, many now oft-reprinted.
Nowadays, however, FATE is mainly an entertainment oriented magazine, and the articles are largely sensational... but it remains a good starting point for finding more information about current paranormal studies, and especially about current popular trends in the world of the strange.
